Mrs. E. Robert
Principal, Faith Academy II
The year 2020 began as every year did, but it had a Pandora box which opened up in the month of March which spread its ugly fangs all over the world, consuming the young and old, rich and the poor, leaving thousands of families in distress and sorrow.
But we still see the hand of God even through this, that He has not failed us as an institution. God has preserved us and Faith Academy Family under ‘His Wings’. This brings to my mind the lines from the song
“Under His wings, O what precious enjoyment,
There will I hide till life’s trials are o’er
Sheltered, protected, no evil can harm me,
Resting in Jesus, I’m safe evermore”
So with the promise we press forward and our classes have been going online from the first week of April. Though the children and teachers missed coming to school and their classrooms, yet their lessons went on uninterrupted. It was a new learning experience for the teacher and the taught. Technology wise it was “fast forward" and the beauty was how they caught on to it beating the outback children of Australia where they study in ‘School of Air' hands down. All activities, programmes went on Zoom and we stayed connected to the children.
Parents, it has not been an easy year but we appreciate all your efforts and it gave you a chance to step into the classrooms of your children and to see how learning takes place. Our only prayer is 2021 will be a year when God will enable us to lead a normal life, breathe God given oxygen freely without the threat of the virus.
Wishing you a blessed 2021!
